To advance its mission to support and promote scholarship and teaching, the American Society of Church History has launched a new online repository: TARA, Teaching and Research Archive. This curated collection covers the history of Christianity and its cultural contexts in all places and historical periods through the 20th century, including non-Western expressions.
As TARA grows, we especially encourage projects which engage in interdisciplinary discussion, historicize theological ideas and lived religious practices, apply digital methods, and make scholarship and source material more readily available for both research and pedagogy. In addition to links to existing resources and projects, we accept original content for peer-review by our editorial committee.
We welcome:
-
- Digital projects and scholarship
- New texts and translations
- Source materials including images, video, and material culture
- Bibliographies and reference works
- Syllabi, assignments, and class exercises or activities
There is no deadline for submissions as this will be an ongoing project.
Please send submissions to our editors at churchhistory@umn.edu. For original content, please include a brief paragraph describing your submission.
Please note we are collecting resources, and will not be able to publish articles, monographs, theses, etc., or other traditional secondary sources. If you would like to contribute, but are unsure if your submission will fit, please check with the editors.
